I began my career in real estate in 1993 with Fox and Carskadon as Office Administrator of the Burlingame branch. Prior to entering the field of real estate, I attended San Francisco State University, graduating Cum Laude, with a degree in business administration. I joined the Burlingame office of Cashin Company (formerly Fox and Carskadon) in 1996 and just two years later settled into our San Carlos branch, grateful to be working so close to home. I obtained my real estate license in 1999 and have been enjoying the listing and sales aspects of the real estate industry ever since. My current broker, Gateway Properties, has been handling real estate transactions on the Peninsula for over 25 years. I find many benefits to working with a boutique, family owned and operated real estate company, but what stands out most is the personal service and attention we provide to our clients.
Having started in Real Estate Administration, I have the advantage and understanding of the numerous everchanging documents and disclosures required by the California Department of Real Estate. With the changing and increasing amount of paperwork involved in the sale of a home, it is imperative that all requirements have been met prior to close of escrow. In addition, over the years I have established successful relationships with other respected professionals such as escrow and title officers, mortgage brokers, and pest and property inspectors. These relationships combined with the backing of a reputable firm, and my desire and abilities to assist and support my clients helps to facilitate a smooth transaction.
I have the knowledge and skills to prepare a seller’s home for sale from coordinating any updating needs with the help of my General Contractor husband to working with staging companies and marketing the homes for sale. I am especially proud of my extensive experience in the preparing and listing of trustee and estate properties, I take special care to be mindful of the history these families have with their homes.
In addition, I take great satisfaction in assisting buyers with one of the largest purchases of their lives. Understanding the importance of listening to my client’s wants and needs is critical in order to help them purchase the home of their dreams. As a 32-year resident of the White Oaks neighborhood of San Carlos, it is especially gratifying representing buyers and sellers in White Oaks where my husband and I raised our family and still remain connected with residents. My experience includes listings, sales, and rentals of single-family homes, condominiums, multi-residential, and income properties.
Born and raised on the Peninsula and a San Carlos resident for the past 32 years, I have extensive knowledge of the Peninsula neighborhoods, communities, and schools. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my two daughters, one resides in San Diego and the other, a budding San Carlos photographer! I also enjoy traveling to attend my son's collegiate volleyball games, assisting my husband with his construction business, and spending time with our family and friends.
